PetaComm, Inc., a subsidiary of Reveo, was formed to become a dominant player in the fourth generation of optical data communications. PetaComm starts with a solid management and technical team and ten years of innovative thinking and intellectual property in the high-speed photonics area from Reveo Laboratories. Contrary to most of the recent photonics company start-up strategies, PetaComm will leapfrog the current generation of fiber-optics components and systems to lead the next generation of wireless and fiberless communications.

Sadeg M. Faris, Chairman

Dr. Faris’ technological endeavors, inventions and innovations, patents (more than 200 issued and 200 pending) and more than fifty published technical articles, span a wide spectrum of science and technology areas including: superconducting electronics, semiconductors, electro-chemistry, terabyte optical communication, MEMS, fuel cells, optics and electro-optics, cryogenic technology and ultra-high performance microelectronics and instrumentation. Scott Elliott, President and CEO

Dr. Elliott’s executive business skill set of more than 28 years have contributed to the success of technology companies by blending his experience, knowledge and creativity as a technology and business manager. Having completed a career of 22+ years with Hewlett-Packard, Dr. Elliott’s work assignments included global, technical leadership positions in Europe, Asia and the Americas that involved managing the development, testing, marketing and manufacturing of high-tech electronics, including semiconductor wafer fabrication, microwave optical components and systems.

Zhan He, VP of Product Development

Dr. He has invented and developed several kinds of new electrically controllable LC optical devices, such as LC microlens, LC microprism and LC gratings, and proposed a new LCD mode with wide view-angle properties and very high contrast ratios. He has published a book on statistical optics and over 20 technical papers on optics and liquid crystals, plus several issued patents and patents pending in both Japan and USA. He also worked as a senior optical engineer in 2001 at Chorum Technologies Inc., to develop LC based optical components for optic fiber communications.
